General Instructions
Students are admitted meritoriously as per government norms through the Single window system. Due weightage given to the students as per Tamil Nadu government norms. Student admission process will develop by automation.
Any student of any board is eligible, once, they have out of school. To take the admission on the basis of their merit to the Under graduate courses. Tamilnadu Higher Education has on live admission procedure and students have to take admission through the same. 55% in Graduation makes the students eligible to take admission to the post Graduation Courses.
- 1 .a) The applications must be made only in online mode - https://www.tngasa.in.
- b) The choices of colleges and courses, should be opted by the candidates at the time of Registration.
- c) Filled in application should contain at least one contact number through which all communication should be sent.
- 2. Documents to be scanned and uploaded as per instructions in the web portal:
- a) Qualifying Examination Mark Sheet / Provisional Mark sheet.
- b) Community Certificate (wherever applicable)
- c) Certificate of proof when admission is sought under Differently Abled / Sports Quota / NCC / Ex-Servicemen etc.
- d) Transfer Certificate
- e) Eligibility certificate for students from other States/ Boards / Universities.
- 3. Original Certificates are to be produced at the time of admission only. However, if a candidate fails to produce the relevant certificates in original, at the time of admission, the admission shall be cancelled at any point of time.
- 4. The online application fee is Rs.48/-for UG courses and Rs.58/- for PG courses and registration fee is Rs.2/- to be paid by every candidate. There is no application fee for SC/ST. Candidates but Registration fee of Rs.2/- is to be paid, by every candidate.
- 5. For admission to Post Graduate courses (PG) a candidate must have passed the 3 years degree courses (under the 10+2+3 pattern) recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
- 6. Age limit : The upper age limit for admission to UG courses will be 21 (twenty one) years as on 1st July 2025. However, a relaxation of 5 years is permitted for differently abled candidates as per G.O.Ms.No.239, S.W.dated 3-9-93. SC/SCA/ST/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC and women candidates may be allowed age relaxation of 3 years beyond 21 years for the admission into UG Courses.

Established in 1966, M.V. Muthiah Government Arts College for Women (MVMWGAC) is situated in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal.
The college is known for offering several UG, PG, PGDCA and PhD courses is different fields of Arts, Commerce and Science viz. B.A, B.Com, B.B.A., B.Sc., M.A, M.Com, M.Sc., PG Diploma in Computer Applications along with Doctoral degrees (Computer Science and Mathematics).

- For admission in UG courses, applicants must have passed 10+2 in relevant subjects from any recognized Board such as CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board.
- Selection in these courses is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and as per the availability of seats.
- Admission in MA, M. Com., M.Sc., PGDCA requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects from any recognized University/ Institution.
- Selection criterion for these PG courses are direct and based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and Entrance Test conducted by concerned Departments.
- For M.Sc. Mathematics, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Geography and Computer Science the applicants must have a graduate degree in relevant subjects.
- Admission in PhD courses requires a master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in relevant subjects and Clear the Entrance Exam conducted by University.
- M. Phil. and Ph.D. Applicants are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the post-graduate degree, entrance test followed by interview.
