Bridge Course - Day -2

M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women, Dindigul organizes a four day Bridge Course for the entrants 2023-2024 from 4-7, July 2023.

The day began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr.D.Lakshmi, Principal welcomed the guests and the first year undergraduate students. Madam stressed that students have to make use all of the available and given opportunities to improve themselves to achieve higher in their life. Dr.K.Ramasamy, College Librarian and Program Coordinator introduced the first speaker of the day Dr.Paul Susheel, Director-PS Academy International Life Coach and invited him to address the students on the topic ‘Unlock Your Potential’.
Dr.Paul Susheel, the youngest trainer to cross 1340 training programs, delivered an insightful lecture. During his session, he explored various ways to increase our self-confidence and self-esteem. He narrated live examples of great achievers. He asked the participants to draw four pictures using left hand and then revealed their personality traits based on the picture components. He also explored the characteristics of the students based on their handwriting (art of graphology). The session was interactive, live, energetic and impressive with his content and mode of delivery.

Then, Dr.K.Ramasamy, College Librarian and program coordinator handled a session on ‘Know Your Library’ – the library orientation programme – explaining the rules and regulations, resources, services and activities of the college library and its facilities. After that, he welcomed and introduced the guest speakers of the second session – Ms.M.Meena, Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Dindigul and Mr.G.Lloyd Singh, Sub-Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Dindigul.
Ms.M.Meena gave an introduction about cyber crime. Mr.G.Llyod Singh handled the technical part of the session. He explained the students various concepts related to Cyber crime – what is cyber crime, what are the ways cyber crimes take place, what forms of crimes are very serious and what steps are taken by the students to safeguard them from various cyber perils. He advised the students not to a) keep the profile as public b) share personal information c) upload personal photos in social media tools d) download unnecessary apps for various purposes e) click any unwanted, attractive links sent by others f) accept the invite of others without verifying the individual etc. There was a Q&A time at the end of the session.
